Everybody spends a certain amount of time in front of the mirror every morning before they leave their home. As a result, it is natural that many people like to hear kind words about their appearance. There is absolutely nothing wrong with liking to hear kind words. As a matter of fact it is a basic need for many people. Kind words can be an act of love. It’s sad but true that some of your classmates actually go through a whole school day without hearing any kind words. How do you think that would make you feel? However, it is important for you to be confident in yourself. Unfortunately, there are people in this world who have no respect for others and would attempt to hurt people with their words and actions.
I have two bowls of confidence for breakfast each morning. – Eric Bristow
As a result, you need to be very clear about what you’re looking for when you get on social media. If you are looking for kind words, validation and confidence, you may be looking in the wrong place. There are numerous stories about the dangerous effects that social media has had on people. Unkind words can negatively affect and influence people. As a result, you must be careful about who you accept feedback from. The family and friends who love you are the ones you should be listening to. They care about you and only want the best for you. The adults at your school also want you to succeed and be happy. Someone who would attempt to bring you down with their words over social media doesn’t care about you. Don’t give them power over your actions and thoughts. Also, kind words should only ADD to the confidence that you already have. Your confidence should never be shaken my people who don’t care about you. Before you get on social media, ask yourself: What are you looking for?
