Throughout my career, I have met many students who were completely paralyzed by Test Anxiety. They believed that they were not capable of overcoming it and their performance reflected this internal struggle. Moshe Zeidner defines Test Anxiety as “an emotional, behavioral, physiological reactions that accompany possible negative consequences in an upcoming test or exam.” Often, I have observed students who seemed comfortable with the situation because for so long, they have struggled with Test Anxiety. The poor performance confirms their strongly held belief that they simply don’t do well on tests. As a leader, your job is to help students grow. Text Anxiety threatens that growth.
