As a teacher, defeating doubt can seem overwhelming at times. After all, there are circumstances that are outside of your control that can have an effect on what happens in your class. Defeating doubt begins with in your mind. To be an effective leader, it’s important to always be mindful of your thoughts. Doubt is always looking for an opening to enter the picture and stop your forward momentum. Success depends on your ability to keep your focus while sustaining proper execution over a period of time. You will have to take intentional steps to keep your environment clear of the hazardous effects of doubt. Remember, your focus should always be on where you are going. If you allow doubt to alter your focus, then you are no longer headed towards a Vision (picture of the future). Instead, you will remain stuck and burn-out is not far away. Say “NO” to doubt.
