Have you ever heard the saying, “you are who you hang with?” If you haven’t’, it simply means that the people you keep in your inner circle are the ones who have a great deal of influence on who you are and the things you do. Think about how we first learn to speak. I speak English because my mother and father spoke English around and to me. They influenced me and so I spoke like them. The friends you choose can have that affect on you as well. It is sad but true that not everyone is qualified to be in your circle of friends because not everyone wants to travel the same path in life. Not everyone wants to study, pay attention in class, or follow instruction from adults. Sadly, some students are only motivated to come to school for breakfast, friends, and lunch. You may know someone like this and you care about them very much. Maybe you can help them by setting a good example, but don’t let anyone influence you to do anything that will harm your future. See you soon.
