Have you ever played the game where you hide a ball under 1 of 3 cups and the object of the game is to choose the cup that hides the ball after a lot of shuffling right before your eyes? Some would argue there are many strategies to the game, but I believe there is only one….Focus on the cup that hides the ball. Once the ball is under the cup, that cup is the only one that matters until a switch is made.
Life is very much like the hide-the-ball-under-the-cup game. There are important things that simply need your undivided attention. When you are in class, you undivided attention is absolutely necessary. If you lose your focus in the classroom, you may miss something very important. Remember this the next time distractions come your way as you are pursuing your goals.
