There is something comfortable about patterns. When you discover a pattern for the first time, it is simple to understand the way the pattern works. With a numerical pattern, there is a sense of predictability. For example….
2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12
This is a simple pattern of even numbers. You can follow where this pattern takes you 100 numbers down the line.
There are patterns in your life as well. Another word for these patterns is “habit.” Your habits are a series of actions you take over time. Review your last semester of school. What habits did you exhibit as a student? Did those habits help or harm your grades? It is obvious that there are habits you need to keep and some you need to break.
Some people are caught up in patterns that will never yield them the grades they want. Everybody wants good grades, but some are not willing to do what it takes to earn the grades. This is because they don’t want to change their habits. If you want to earn good grades, you have to change your pattern (habits). Think about it.
