Have you ever seen a movie that has this story-line? A bad guy is planning to do something terrible that could harm a lot of innocent people. This is pretty much the common theme for a lot of movies. Something else that is common is the element of time. The attack is going to happen in 24 hours and the good guy is racing against time to stop it. The countdown is on as the timer ticks with each passing second. Once the good guy realized the time he/she has, we as the audience are on edge because we know that time does not stop. We can’t buy more time. Time is constant. It moves on whether we are ready or not.
You are like the good guy in a movie every day you wake up. The second you get out of bed, the timer starts and the countdown is on. Your mission is to chase success. You chase success by doing what is asked of you in school. Believe me, there is a connection between what you do now in school and your future. The clock is ticking and you have many things to do each day. You don’t have an infinite amount of time. Time is limited. The question is….will you accomplish your mission? The point is that you don’t have time to waste. The time you spend throughout the day does not come back to you. You don’t have to spend every minute of every day studying, but you should make sure that you spend a decent amount of time working during school AND after school when necessary. It is simply a matter of learning how to manage your time well in high school. The countdown is on. Your mission is now.
